Ethics

Small-scale communities are vulnerable to misuse or side- and aftereffects of research programs. For this reason researchers should commit themselves to ethical standards prescribed by scientific and professional associations, such as the Code of Ethics of the International Society for Ethnobiology. Being known as the highest standard, this code is used by Ethnographic Nature. It establishes the terms for a collaboration of researcher(s) and communities based on trust, transparency and mutual concerns.
